THE SS AMERICAN VICTORY
RESTORATION TOUR
Witness History in the Remaking
The SS American Victory, a 61-year old merchant ship
which served during World War II, and the Korean and
Vietnam wars as a military cargo carrier, is being
transformed into a world-class museum, mariners and
memorial and a "ReLive History" cruising ship.
Witness "history in the remaking" by taking a
Restoration Tour of the SS American Victory. Self-Guided
tours of the ship are available Tuesday through
Saturday" 10 AM.- 4 PM. Sundays: 12 Noon - 4 PM.
(passengers who are onboard before 4PM may remain
onboard till 5PM) The tours provide a first-hand view of
restoration of the engine room, cargo holds, wheelhouse,
radio room, flying bridge, charthouse, sickbay, mess
rooms, crew quarters and other areas. Call to verify
that the ship is open for tours, as the schedule can
change.
Self Guided Tours:
Adults - $8.00 (Military Vets, Seniors, AAA Adults-
$7.00)
Children - 4-12 years old--- $4.00 (AAA Children 4-12
years old---- $3.00)
Children - 3 years and under n/c
Group rate is available for groups of ten people or
more. Reservations are required.
