Volunteer
During this event, port partners and other dedicated community volunteers safely remove trash and marine debris from several sites in and around our port. we recognize our daily connection with our local waters and are dedicated to do our part and support “Trash Free Waters” in Tampa Bay. This event is a call to action for the port community to support the ongoing efforts to keep Tampa Bay a beautiful place to live, work, and play.
The American Victory Ship and Museum is always looking for committed and dedicated volunteers and docents. Opportunities include administration, marketing, public relations, assisting with special events, assisting with education programs, and providing tours to guests. We are also in need of crew members with expired and current USCG licenses, as well as in maintenance and restoration areas.
As a volunteer, you will enjoy discounts in our ship’s store, two appreciation parties per year and a free crew t-shirt. You will also meet new friends and come together to serve a national American treasure.
